This collection of short papers is a companion volume to the Proceedings of the Third International Conference on Natural Language Generation (INLG 2004) published by Springer Verlag in the Lecture Notes on Computing Science series (LNCS 3123). The collection contains extended abstracts of posters presented at the conference, and provides a snapshot of the rich diversity of ongoing NLG research. INLG 2004 was organised by ITRI, University of Brighton, on behalf of SIGGEN, the Association for Computational Linguistics Special Interest Group on Generation.
